Jerry Huff-  Commissioning Authority          

              Jerry has been involved in quality assurance and control, testing and commissioning, and construction project management for over 30 years.  His experience includes complicated systems in the hydro-electric and nuclear fields; testing and equipment modification in heavy construction and nuclear plants; and project management for general construction and heavy electrical rebuilding and modifications.  Jerry was responsible for developing a system that is used for in-containment rebuilds and modifications in nuclear plants that is still being used today.  Significant projects that Jerry provided QA/QC services, testing or commissioning include Bonneville Power’s Munro Control Center, which provides control for all power distribution in the Western US and Canada; installation and testing for generators in the third power house at Grand Coulee Dam; and building construction quality assurance inspections on the $24 million gaming facility for the Kalispel tribe.  Jerry is a member of ASQC, the American Society of Quality Control. 

Ed Simpson-Commissioning Authority

              Ed’s background includes 10 years in the HVAC trades performing service and installation work, and over 15 years in facilities maintenance and operations in the healthcare industry and at colleges and universities.  During his time in facilities maintenance and operations, he spent over five years performing construction project management and commissioning new facilities for a national healthcare company.  He also served as a regional director of maintenance, performing building and equipment evaluations and testing through the western US.  As head of facilities maintenance at two colleges, he supervised staff, developed projects, evaluated facilities and equipment, and managed maintenance projects.  Ed is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Plant Maintenance Manager through the Association of Facilities Engineers (AFE), and currently serves as a representative for the BCA on a statewide advisory committee for the Office of Public Instruction.
